Bears GM Admits Frustration Over Kyler Gordon's Absence

Kyler Gordon, a key defensive player for the Chicago Bears, is facing a difficult start to his 2026 season. Following a 2025 season limited to just three games due to multiple injuries, Gordon has been placed on the physically unable to perform list with a calf injury. This decision, announced on Sunday, has reportedly frustrated the organization. General Manager Ryan Poles acknowledged the shared frustration, stating that time and effort are being invested to help Gordon return. Head Coach Ben Johnson added that opportunities will be given to other players to step up in Gordon's absence, fostering competition within the cornerback room. Gordon, a 2022 second-round pick, is in the first year of a three-year, $40 million contract extension.
