Kyle Teel Set for Rehab Assignment With Charlotte Knights

Kyle Teel, a promising young player for the Chicago White Sox, is on the verge of returning to the field. He sustained a hamstring injury during the World Baseball Classic while playing for Team Italy, which has kept him out of action for the entire season so far. Teel is scheduled to commence a rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights, his first step back towards joining the major league squad.

Teel conveyed his eagerness to rejoin the White Sox, describing the team's current atmosphere as "electric." His initial rehab plan involves catching for the Knights before transitioning to the designated hitter role. The team has been performing well, positioning themselves competitively in the AL Central. Teel's return is anticipated to bolster the lineup, especially given recent struggles at the catcher position.
