Despite limited game time before the Indian Premier League 2026 season and his recent marriage, Kuldeep showed no signs of rustiness. He finished his four overs with figures of 2/31. He also dismissed Mukul Choudhary after conceding two consecutive fours.

Kuldeep shared advice for young spinners, urging them not to crumble under pressure from six-hitting batsmen. Looking ahead, Kuldeep expects challenges against the Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium due to its smaller boundaries and Mumbai's strong batting lineup. Last season, Kuldeep was Delhi Capitals' highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets at an economy rate of 7.07.
