Ottavainen, 23, has already made one appearance for the Kraken this past season, registering an assist against the Los Angeles Kings on April 15, 2025. He was originally drafted by the Kraken in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
For the past four seasons, Ottavainen has been a key player for the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the AHL. In 246 games played, he accumulated 11 goals and 52 assists. The 6-foot-5, 216-pound defenseman, who hails from Finland, also represented his country on the Finland U20 team. He is set to play for both the Kraken and the Firebirds in the 2026-27 season.
