Kraken Lock Up Forward Duo with Extensions

The Seattle Kraken announced two-year contract extensions for forwards Ben Meyers and Ryan Winterton on Tuesday. Meyers, 27, has been an integral part of the team, splitting time between the Kraken and their AHL affiliate. He has recorded five goals and six assists in 31 games for Seattle this season. Despite being sidelined with a lower-body injury since late January, management emphasized his value.

Winterton, 22, has seen significant ice time, appearing in a career-high 54 games this season. He has set new personal bests with three goals and 12 assists, demonstrating growth in his role. General Manager Jason Botterill expressed confidence in both players, highlighting Meyers' versatility and passion, and Winterton's speed and two-way game. Both extensions are through the 2027-28 season.
