Knicks Trade Yabusele to Bulls for Terry

Guerschon Yabusele, the New York Knicks' significant free agent acquisition this past summer, is reportedly on the move. League sources confirmed to The Athletic that the Knicks are trading Yabusele to the Chicago Bulls. In return, the Knicks will receive guard Dalen Terry.

Yabusele, who faced a player option for the following year, found it difficult to regularly secure a spot in the team's rotation. He spent much of the season on the bench, struggling with both defensive performance and consistent shooting. The Knicks, operating deep within the first-apron payroll threshold, found it financially challenging to continue with such limited production from his contract slot.

Consequently, a trade for Yabusele was anticipated. League sources indicated that New York had been actively seeking to move the player for some time. The transaction is expected to help the Knicks reduce their salary obligations, as they swap Yabusele for Terry, who possesses an expiring contract.
