Knicks' Josh Hart to Play with Finger Splint This Season
2 Oct, 2025
Summary
- Knicks forward Josh Hart aggravated finger injury
- Hart to wear splint this season, may consider surgery next summer
- Hart set franchise record with 9 triple-doubles last season

As the 2025-26 NBA preseason approaches, the New York Knicks are set to face the Philadelphia 76ers in a two-game series in Abu Dhabi. However, the Knicks will be without one of their key players, as forward Josh Hart has recently aggravated a finger injury.
According to reports, Hart underwent a procedure on his right ring finger in July after sustaining the injury during the playoffs last season. After taking time off to recover, he said he hurt the finger again while preparing for the upcoming training camp, which begins this Wednesday.
"So probably just rock out with a split this season and try to fix it again next summer," Hart stated. The 28-year-old acknowledged that he hates wearing anything on his hands, but wants to delay surgery to remain on the court and help the team be successful this season.
