Key players injured for both Kansas State and Houston.

Kansas State coach Collin Klein is preparing to face Houston Cougars quarterback Conner Weigman, a player familiar to him from their time together at Texas A&M. Klein, now leading his alma mater, has closely followed Weigman's development since his transfer. Weigman has demonstrated strong performance this season, amassing 1,186 passing yards and 11 touchdowns, contributing to Houston's 4-1 record.

The upcoming matchup is complicated by several player injuries. Houston will be without linebacker Jaden Yates due to a leg injury sustained last week. For Kansas State, tight end Will Anciaux is out for the season with a lower leg injury, and backup quarterback Blake Barnett is also sidelined, with Dillon Duff listed as questionable. This situation leaves Kansas State with limited quarterback options should Duff be unable to play.
