Rahul's Experience Key for India in Galle Test

India's bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has expressed confidence in wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul's significant contribution to the team during the impending Test series against Sri Lanka. Morkel highlighted Rahul's experience as a key asset, particularly in guiding less experienced teammates through the challenging conditions of Galle.

The Indian squad arrived ten days prior to the first Test, scheduled to commence on August 15, providing ample time for practice. This early arrival was intended to enable players to focus on their individual strategies and acclimatize to the Galle International Stadium's pitch.

Morkel also indicated that the inclusion of three spinners is a potential tactical option, given the venue's characteristics and India's spin-bowling strength. He noted that while the pitch appears favorable initially, it is expected to offer more assistance as the match progresses.
