Olympic Hopeful's Boyfriend Was on The Traitors
9 Feb
Summary
- Kirsty Muir narrowly missed an Olympic medal in the freeski slopestyle final.
- Her boyfriend, Matt Harris, is known for his appearance on The Traitors.
- Muir had previously won the Aspen X Games just two weeks prior.

Team GB skier Kirsty Muir narrowly missed securing a medal in the women's freeski slopestyle final held on Monday. The 19-year-old athlete from Aberdeen finished in fourth place, just shy of the podium. Her boyfriend, Matt Harris, who gained recognition from his participation in the first series of the BBC show The Traitors, is reportedly dating Muir. Harris was noted on the show for his emotional reactions, including tears when a fellow contestant he fancied was revealed to be in a relationship.
Muir's score of 76.05 on her final run placed her agonisingly close to third-place finisher Megan Oldham of Canada. This result was a significant shift from her performance two weeks prior, where she triumphed at the prestigious Aspen X Games with a score of 93.66. That score would have been sufficient for Olympic gold, with the eventual winner, Mathilde Gremaud, scoring 86.96. Muir also competed in Beijing for her Olympic debut at 17 and will have another opportunity to medal in the upcoming ski Big Air event.
