Tribal Athletes Shine at Khelo India Games!

On Wednesday, race walker Dasharath Talawar and middle-distance runner Nagini added two gold medals for Karnataka at the Khelo India Tribal Games. Talawar led a 1-2 finish in the men's 10km race walk, while Nagini dominated the women's 800m. Karnataka now holds 21 gold medals and an overall tally of 36.
Chhattisgarh secured a silver medal through Gajendra Thakur in the men's 800m and their men's hockey team clinched a bronze. Thakur expressed joy at winning his first national medal at home. The host state's men's hockey team defeated Madhya Pradesh 14-6.
In football, Chhattisgarh defeated Arunachal Pradesh 3-2 to reach the final, where they will face West Bengal. West Bengal advanced by defeating Goa 5-2 in their semi-final match. Odisha and Jharkhand also saw victories in track and field events.
