Southwind football standout Khamoni Williams has announced his commitment to Auburn University, marking a significant addition to their recruiting class. Williams had initially committed to West Virginia on June 12 but changed his decision following an official visit to Auburn on June 19.
Williams is recognized as a three-star recruit and is ranked as Tennessee's No. 24 player in the 2027 class. The Commercial Appeal also lists him as the No. 1 running back heading into the 2026 TSSAA season.
Previously, Williams played at Memphis Business Academy, where he demonstrated strong performance both offensively and defensively. In 2025, he rushed for 892 yards and seven touchdowns, adding two receiving touchdowns. His defensive contributions included 66 tackles and 10 sacks.
Williams is expected to be a key player in Southwind's revamped offense for the upcoming 2026 season. He will join a strong offensive line, bolstered by recent Ole Miss commit Antonio Keefer, as Southwind prepares to start its season on August 21.
