Byard, 32, is a decorated player, earning his third first-team All-Pro honor in the previous season. He led the entire league with seven interceptions and also contributed 93 tackles, eight pass breakups, and four tackles for loss. His consistent performance over 10 NFL seasons includes 972 tackles and 36 interceptions.
This signing also brings Byard back under the tutelage of head coach Mike Vrabel. Byard played for Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans from 2018 to 2023, during which time he made two Pro Bowl appearances. Byard has demonstrated remarkable durability, having never missed a game due to injury and starting most of his career contests.
