Despite the circumstances, Marte rejoined the team for the Phillies series and apologized for his previous actions. Manager Torey Lovullo indicated that Marte could return to second base soon, potentially during the upcoming series at Houston. Lovullo expressed optimism about the team's performance in September, stating, "I think we're going to go out and play our finest month of baseball." Meanwhile, outfielder Corbin Carroll is managing lower back discomfort but is expected to remain in the lineup.
