Bourne: Arizona's Underrated 'Secret Weapon'

Kendrick Bourne is carving out a significant, yet under-the-radar, role within the Arizona Cardinals' offense. During recent training camp sessions, Bourne proved his mettle by securing 14 out of 18 targets thrown his way. This performance indicates a tangible role, potentially leading to over 60 targets by the season's end. His adaptability is highlighted by his move to a primary slot receiver position, a role he hasn't consistently played since 2019.

Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur, who previously worked with Bourne in 2019, vouched for his physicality in both the passing and running games. The Cardinals signed Bourne to a two-year, $10 million contract, recognizing his ability to create separation from the slot.
