Ravens Offensive Lineman Kendall Lamm Retires Suddenly

The Baltimore Ravens are facing an unexpected setback just before their preseason opener, as veteran offensive tackle Kendall Lamm has announced his retirement from the NFL. Lamm's decision comes shortly after signing with the Ravens earlier this month, leaving the team in a difficult position.

This retirement marks the second time in quick succession that the Ravens' front office has lost a veteran offensive lineman to retirement after signing them. Hakeem Adeniji had previously retired, prompting the Ravens to bring in Lamm for depth.

Lamm concluded an 11-season NFL career that saw him play in 132 games, including 44 starts. His most productive years were in 2018 with the Houston Texans and 2023 with the Miami Dolphins. He was primarily a right tackle and often served as a valuable depth piece.

While Lamm was not expected to be a primary starter for Baltimore, his departure leaves a void at the tackle position, necessitating the search for another player to add crucial depth.
