The Kansas basketball program is enhancing its September recruitment efforts with a visit from top-100 guard Parker McDaniel. The 6-foot-3, 170-pound wing is set to visit Lawrence the weekend of September 11-12, marking the third expected recruit on campus that weekend.
McDaniel, a rising junior at South Central Prep in Bigby, Oklahoma, is recognized as the No. 96 player nationally and the 15th-ranked shooting guard in his class by 247 Sports. His playing style, particularly his skill as a movement shooter with a quick jump shot, draws comparisons to current KU guard Luke Barnett.
With offers from over a dozen Division I programs and interest from other Big 12 schools, McDaniel's recruitment is highly competitive. Following his visit to Kansas, he is scheduled to visit Washington in late September and Oklahoma in October, adding to Kansas's active recruiting period.
