Bulldogs QB Taylor Out vs. LSU with Turf Toe
17 Oct
Summary
- Star quarterback Kamario Taylor is expected to miss the LSU game.
- Taylor is dealing with a turf toe injury suffered on Sept. 26.
- Running back Fluff Bothwell is also questionable for Mississippi State.
Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Kamario Taylor is sidelined for the upcoming game against LSU due to a turf toe injury. Taylor, who originally suffered the foot injury on September 26th during the win over Missouri, is not expected to be available for the critical SEC matchup. This marks a significant blow for the No. 16 ranked Bulldogs.
Adding to Mississippi State's concerns, starting running back Fluff Bothwell is also listed as questionable for Saturday's contest. The uncertainty surrounding their availability could force the Bulldogs to rely on backup quarterbacks AJ Swann or freshman Parker Puckett, with Puckett having received more backup reps this season.
The absence of Taylor, considered a Heisman-level talent, is a considerable advantage for the LSU Tigers, who are looking to improve their 4-2 record. The Tigers' defense will face an altered challenge without Taylor on the field.
