Mainz Star Sano: Liverpool, Arsenal Eye €60M Move?

Defensive midfielder Kaishu Sano, a 25-year-old Japanese international, is attracting significant attention from top European clubs, with Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly among those tracking his progress. Mainz 05, Sano's current club, is reportedly in a strong position regarding his future.

Sporting director Christian Heidel has indicated that Mainz is under no pressure to sell Sano, stating that his continued presence would be welcomed by all associated with the club. However, Heidel also conceded that the club's financial realities might necessitate considering a sale if an exceptionally lucrative offer materializes.

Reports suggest that a transfer fee in the vicinity of €60 million is being considered for Sano, highlighting the high valuation placed on the player by interested clubs. This situation places Mainz in a delicate position, balancing potential financial gain against the sporting impact of losing a key player.
