Packers' Josh Jacobs Faces New Allegations
31 Oct
Summary
- Three women contacted police after Jacobs' May arrest.
- One woman alleges Jacobs threatened to kill her.
- Jacobs' lawyers call allegations 'uncorroborated' and 'old'.
As police investigated an incident involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, three more women came forward with their own allegations. These accounts were released on Friday and detail incidents occurring as far back as January 2022.
One woman claims Jacobs threatened to kill her, slapped her, and destroyed her phone during a 2022 encounter. Another reported a 2021 incident where Jacobs allegedly pushed her against a wall and caused bruising. A third woman detailed an altercation in May 2022, stating Jacobs dragged her and took her phone.
Jacobs' legal team, in a statement, characterized these allegations as uncorroborated and old. They highlighted that extensive investigations by the district attorney's office led to only two misdemeanor charges, which Jacobs has since pleaded no contest to as part of a plea agreement. The NFL continues its own investigation into Jacobs following his May arrest.
