- Ramírez previously fractured his right hamate bone in 2019.
- Two other Guardians, DeLauter and Martinez, also exited with injuries.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman José Ramírez has been placed on the injured list due to a broken left hamate bone. This injury was confirmed by manager Stephen Vogt after the Guardians' 3-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday, June 13. Ramírez sustained the injury in the fifth inning, exiting the game shortly thereafter.
This is not the first time Ramírez has dealt with a fractured hamate bone; he previously suffered a similar injury to his right hamate in 2019, which sidelined him for nearly a month. The Guardians also saw outfielders Chase DeLauter and Angel Martinez leave the game with injuries.
DeLauter sustained a contusion to his right ribcage after colliding with the outfield fence in the first inning. Martinez fouled a pitch off his left foot in the first inning, initially staying in the game but later exiting with a left foot contusion. X-rays for Martinez were negative.
