Kuminga was acquired by Atlanta from the Golden State Warriors on February 5th. During his brief tenure with the Hawks, he played 16 games, starting one, and averaged 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds. He also participated in all six of the Hawks' playoff games, contributing 13.7 points per contest.
The Warriors originally selected Kuminga seventh overall in the 2021 NBA draft. He was part of their championship team in his rookie season and averaged 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds over three seasons. Kuminga had signed a $48.5 million deal in September but sought a trade in January due to reduced playing time.
