- The 33-year-old batted .362 with a home run in spring training.
Joe, a 33-year-old veteran, received a reassignment to minor-league camp on Sunday, March 22, 2026. He had initially joined the Mariners' spring training as a non-roster invitee following a February minor-league contract agreement. Despite a challenging 2025 season, Joe demonstrated a notable resurgence during spring training. He achieved a .362 batting average, contributing one home run, six runs batted in, and nine runs scored across 19 contests and 47 at-bats.
This performance indicates that Joe still possesses significant offensive capability. As a result of his spring training success, he is now slated to start the 2026 minor-league season with Triple-A Tacoma. His successful stint in spring training suggests a strong rebound after his previous year's performance.
