15 May
Summary
- Jets added veteran receiver Tim Patrick to bolster offense.
- Patrick brings experience from Jacksonville and Denver.
- Jets waived kicker Will Ferrin for roster space.

The New York Jets bolstered their wide receiver depth on Thursday by signing veteran Tim Patrick. The 32-year-old pass-catcher joins a receiving unit that features talents like Garrett Wilson and first-round selection Omar Cooper Jr. Patrick’s familiarity with Jets coach Aaron Glenn, who was with the Lions in 2024, adds a layer of connection.
Patrick previously played for the Broncos, where he was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He recorded 143 catches for 2,009 yards and 12 touchdowns during his time in Denver. After missing the 2022 season due to a torn ACL and the following season with a torn Achilles tendon, Patrick is looking to make an impact.
To accommodate Patrick on the roster, the Jets waived kicker Will Ferrin, who was recently signed as an undrafted free agent. The team still retains veteran kickers Cade York and Lenny Krieg.
