Jets Urged to Add Veteran Linebacker Now

The New York Jets' linebacker corps is identified as a critical area of concern, prompting an insider's call for the addition of a veteran player. General Manager Darren Mougey is urged to seek out experienced help, potentially considering a player like Devin White. White, a former Pro Bowler, has had a varied career since 2024, playing for multiple teams including the Raiders last season.

Last year, White played for the Las Vegas Raiders, starting all 17 games. However, his performance metrics from Pro Football Focus indicated struggles in run defense and coverage, though he still showed effectiveness in pass rushing. The Jets' current projected starting linebackers, Davis and Sherwood, also face questions regarding their age and recent performance.
