Cincinnati has secured Jerrod Calhoun, an Ohio native and 2004 graduate, as its new men's basketball head coach. This announcement follows his successful two-season stint with Utah State, where his teams compiled a 55-15 record and earned two NCAA tournament berths. The Aggies recently concluded their season with a 29-7 record, having won both the Mountain West regular-season and tournament championships. Calhoun's coaching background also includes head coaching positions at Youngstown State and Fairmont State, the latter of which he led to a Division II national runner-up finish. He previously served as an assistant under Bob Huggins at West Virginia. Calhoun takes over a Cincinnati program that has not reached the NCAA tournament in seven years, marking the program's longest drought in over three decades. He replaces Wes Miller, who was dismissed after five seasons with a 100-74 overall record.
