Valencia is reportedly nearing an agreement to appoint Mexican coach Javier Aguirre, who has become the leading candidate to succeed Carlos Corberán. The club initiated discussions with Aguirre's representatives several days ago and is scheduled for a crucial meeting on Friday. Both parties are keen to finalize a deal, which is expected to include contractual and sporting terms that still need to be settled.
