Summary

Pace bowling icon James Anderson has declared Virat Kohli as his favorite cricketer from India. This revelation comes despite their history of closely contested battles, especially during India's 2014 Test tour of England. That series proved challenging for Kohli, who managed only 134 runs in 10 innings, with Anderson claiming his wicket four times.
Anderson, who retired as England's highest Test wicket-taker with 704 scalps, acknowledged Kohli's significant talent. Although Anderson dismissed Kohli seven times in their Test encounters, Kohli maintained a respectable average of 43.57 against the English bowler.
Kohli, who retired from T20Is in 2024 and Test cricket a year later, remains a dominant force in ODIs. He recently showcased exceptional form, scoring 302 runs against South Africa and is set to feature in an upcoming ODI series against New Zealand starting January 11 in Vadodara.
