Bula Set to Stay: Tigers Secure Star Fullback

There is a growing sense of optimism at the Wests Tigers regarding the future of their star fullback, Jahream Bula. Club management, led by CEO Shane Richardson, has expressed strong confidence that Bula will sign a new multi-year contract, securing him at the club beyond 2027. While no official agreement has been reached, negotiations are reportedly progressing well, with the club preferring a long-term extension over a simple contract option.

Bula, who turns 24 in January, has become an integral part of the Wests Tigers' setup since his debut in 2023. He has played 57 first-grade games, scoring an impressive 23 tries, and forms a crucial part of the team's spine alongside captain Api Koroisau. His form has also made him a key figure for Fiji, with six international appearances to his name.

CEO Shane Richardson emphasized Bula's desire to remain with the club, contrasting it with the departure of former player Lachlan Galvin. Richardson is optimistic about finalizing the deal, highlighting Bula's importance to the team's long-term vision and his potential role in the upcoming 2026 Rugby League World Cup for Fiji.
