6 May
Summary
- IPL 2026 playoffs will be held across three venues.
- The final will be played at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
- Bengaluru was initially slated to host the final match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the venue changes for the IPL 2026 playoffs. This season's playoff matches are scheduled to take place across three distinct locations: Dharamshala, New Chandigarh (Mullanpur), and Ahmedabad. This decision has been made as a special case, considering certain operational and logistical factors.
Qualifier 1, featuring the top two teams from the league stage, is set for May 26 at Dharamshala's HPCA Stadium. The winner of this match secures a direct spot in the final. The subsequent matches, including the Eliminator and Qualifier 2, will be held in New Chandigarh on May 27 and May 29, respectively. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the championship final on May 31.
Originally, Bengaluru was designated to host the final. However, the BCCI confirmed that venue reassignment occurred due to requirements from the local association and authorities that fell outside established BCCI guidelines. Last season, playoffs were held at two venues, with New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad hosting matches.
