Rogers Takes Helm at Iowa State, Replacing Campbell

Iowa State has officially announced the hiring of Jimmy Rogers as its next head football coach, taking over from Matt Campbell, who is reportedly bound for Penn State. Rogers, 38, brings a successful track record to Ames, having recently guided Washington State to a 6-6 record and a bowl appearance in his first season.

Prior to his stint at Washington State, Rogers served as head coach at his alma mater, South Dakota State, where he achieved remarkable success by leading the Jackrabbits to back-to-back FCS championships. His overall coaching record stands at an impressive 33-9 over three seasons.

Athletic Director Jamie Pollard praised Rogers as a rising star with strong Midwest connections, highlighting his long-standing interest in Iowa State and his proven ability to win and fit the program's culture. Rogers, who has agreed to a six-year contract, expressed his eagerness to build upon the Cyclones' recent success.
