Iowa Football Star Enters Transfer Portal

Iowa Hawkeyes football is facing a significant roster change as redshirt junior defensive end Brian Allen has entered the NCAA transfer portal. News of Allen's decision broke late Friday night, signaling a potential shift in the team's defensive lineup for the upcoming season. Allen was a consistent presence on the field.

During the current season, Allen carved out a rotational role, contributing 282 defensive snaps and earning a notable 77.4 pass-rushing grade from Pro Football Focus. Over his career, he played in 28 games, accumulating 34 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.

Allen, originally from Lake in the Hills, Illinois, was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class, ranked as the nation's 111th defensive lineman. His potential for a starting role in 2026 now appears destined for another program, making him the second defensive player to enter the portal this offseason.
