Inter Eyes Spurs Keeper Vicario for Sommer Replacement
12 Mar
Summary
- Inter Milan targets Guglielmo Vicario as Yann Sommer's replacement.
- Sommer will depart Inter Milan at the end of the season upon contract expiry.
- Inter previously pursued Vicario in 2023 before Tottenham signed him.

Inter Milan is reportedly prioritizing Tottenham Hotspur's Guglielmo Vicario to fill the goalkeeping position vacated by the departing Yann Sommer. Sommer, a 37-year-old Swiss international, will leave the Serie A leaders in June once his current contract with the club concludes. Inter had previously attempted to sign the Italian goalkeeper in 2023, but Tottenham secured his transfer then.
With Sommer's exit confirmed, Inter's interest in Vicario has been reignited. The 29-year-old's current situation at Tottenham, where he has reportedly been sidelined by coach Igor Tudor, could facilitate a move to San Siro. Inter is also considering other goalkeeping options, including Andriy Lunin from Real Madrid and prospects like Elia Caprile and Marco Carnesecchi.
