Inter Milan and Atalanta are reportedly in a fierce competition for the signature of Modena defender Daniel Tonoli.
Tonoli, a 23-year-old, emerged from Inter's academy before joining Virtus Bergamo and then Modena. This season, he has been a standout performer in Serie B, contributing five goals in 29 league matches.
His impressive form has attracted interest from top-flight clubs, including his former club Inter Milan. With several veteran defenders slated to depart San Siro in June, Inter are seeking defensive reinforcements.
Despite Inter's interest, Tonoli is reportedly inclined towards a move to Atalanta, as he is a lifelong fan of the Bergamo-based club. This presents a significant challenge for Inter in their pursuit of the talented defender.
