India Women Extend Dominance Over Pakistan in World Cup

As the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup continues, the India Women's team, led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, is gearing up to face their arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated clash on Sunday in Colombo.

India started their World Cup campaign on a victorious note, defeating Sri Lanka by 59 runs in a rain-affected match in Guwahati. Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered a 7-wicket loss to Bangladesh in their opening match in Colombo.

Ahead of the India-Pakistan encounter, the focus has been on the two teams' head-to-head record in ODIs. India have a perfect 11-0 record against Pakistan, with their last victory coming in 2022 when they handed Pakistan a 107-run defeat in Mount Maunganui.

India's biggest win over Pakistan in terms of runs was a 207-run triumph in 2008, while their most dominant victories were by 10 wickets in 2006 and 2008. The two sides have faced off only in World Cup matches, with their first meeting taking place in 2005 when India clinched a 193-run win in Karachi.
