Gill Aims for Series Win in Guwahati

Shubman Gill's Team India will aim to clinch their inaugural ODI series of 2026 when they face the West Indies in the second match of the three-game series. The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. India currently holds a 1-0 lead after a commanding eight-wicket victory in the series opener held in Thiruvananthapuram.

The previous match saw a remarkable performance from former captain Virat Kohli, who registered his 55th ODI century with an unbeaten 139 off 88 balls. Shubman Gill also contributed significantly with a century of his own. For the West Indies, led by Shai Hope, the team will be without Justin Greaves, who scored a century in the first ODI, due to a calf injury. Sherfane Rutherford is expected to replace Greaves in the lineup.
