Team India, led by Shreyas Iyer, commences a five-match T20I series against New Zealand at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch this Thursday. Black Caps pacer Jacob Duffy shared insights after a training session, discussing his recent IPL stint with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, where he played alongside Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Duffy praised Bhuvneshwar Kumar's exceptional skills, particularly his variations and ability to read batters, calling him one of the best T20 bowlers. He also acknowledged the talent of young Indian batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, noting his remarkable consistency in striking the ball hard, and outlined plans to counter him.
India enters the series after a 2-2 draw against the West Indies and holds fond memories of defeating New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2026 final. Duffy, however, anticipates a tough contest in familiar home conditions.
