India Proves They Can Win Without Star Pacer Bumrah

In a recent analysis, former Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin highlighted that India did not win a single match with Jasprit Bumrah in their playing XI during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England. However, India still managed to clinch a thrilling six-run victory at The Oval, London, in the fifth and final Test, drawing the series 2-2.

Haddin opined that this performance proves India can do well even without their premier pacer Bumrah, who featured in just three games on the tour as part of workload management. Notably, Bumrah was not part of any of India's two victories. Haddin suggested that the Indian side has enough depth in their pace attack and is no longer overly dependent on Bumrah.

The cricketer-turned-coach also emphasized that England dearly missed their captain Ben Stokes in the crucial fifth Test. The talismanic all-rounder was ruled out of the fixture due to a shoulder injury. Haddin reckoned that if Stokes had played, England would have won the final Test, as they came close to clinching a series victory, requiring just 35 runs to win with four wickets in hand on the final day.
