India's national cricket selectors have announced the squads for the forthcoming Test and ODI series against New Zealand, set to commence in October. For the initial three One Day Internationals, a formidable, full-strength ODI squad has been assembled, with Shubman Gill designated as the captain.
Following the first three ODIs, a strategic shift will occur for the subsequent two matches. Shreyas Iyer is slated to assume the leadership role for these fixtures. This change will see several players who are regulars in the Test squad making way, allowing for different personnel to feature.
The newly announced Test squad sees Shubman Gill retained as captain. Notable inclusions in the Test squad alongside Gill include Jaiswal, Rahul, Padikkal, Pant, Jurel, Jadeja, Kamboj, Bumrah, Prasidh, Akash Deep, Sai Sudharsan, Nitish, Sundar, Kuldeep, and Siraj.
