Defending champion Luke Humphries produced a perfect nine-dart leg en route to a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Luke Woodhouse in the last 16 of the World Masters. Although Humphries took an early lead, Woodhouse mounted a comeback, forcing a deciding leg where Humphries clinched the win. He will face Danny Noppert next.
World champion Luke Littler also secured his place in the quarter-finals, defeating Ross Smith 4-1 with a near 108 average. Littler expressed satisfaction with his improved performance compared to the previous day. He is set to play Josh Rock in the next round.
Josh Rock advanced for the first time by beating Rob Cross 4-1. Danny Noppert thrashed Stephen Bunting 4-0. Gian van Veen defeated Nathan Aspinall 4-2 and will play James Wade, who beat Gary Anderson 4-3. Gerwyn Price narrowly beat Jonny Clayton 4-3, and Chris Dobey also won 4-3 against Damon Heta, setting up a tie with Price.
