Huddersfield Town Lands New Head Coach After Extensive Search

Huddersfield Town has officially named Martin Drury as their new head coach, following a comprehensive and deliberate selection process. Sporting director Chris Markham stated the club was dedicated to a meticulous search, exploring diverse coaching profiles from across Europe and within the UK. The aim was to find a coach who prioritizes the club and establishes a distinct on-pitch identity aligned with fan expectations.

Drury, who finished the 2025-26 season in an interim capacity, was identified as the standout candidate. Markham noted that while Drury's performance was strong, the club sought to ensure all avenues were explored before making a final decision. The recruitment was described as targeted rather than scattergun, with specific individuals identified as potential fits. Several credible candidates interviewed will remain on the club's radar.
