As of November 16th, 2025, the prominent Kannada film production house Hombale Films is understood to be interested in purchasing the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Several big-name investors have been eyeing RCB in the recent past, with the current owner, Diageo India, potentially looking to sell the franchise ahead of the 19th edition of the IPL (IPL 2026).
Hombale Films, the makers of blockbuster hits like K.G.F., Kantara, and Salaar, is said to be exploring this opportunity for a fresh start.
