- This win marks UP Warriorz's first in the WPL 2026 season after three losses.

UP Warriorz secured their first win of WPL 2026 on Thursday, triumphing over defending champions Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. The victory was orchestrated by Harleen Deol, who bounced back from a controversial retirement out the previous day to score an unbeaten 64 off 39 balls, expertly steering her team's chase.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians posted a challenging 161 for five, largely due to a powerful 65-run innings from Nat Sciver-Brunt. Despite a slow start, Sciver-Brunt's aggressive batting in the latter half of the innings, supported by Nicola Carey, propelled Mumbai to a competitive total. Harmanpreet Kaur also contributed 16 runs.
In response, UP Warriorz faced some early batting struggles but Deol's composed and dominant performance, aided by Chloe Tryon's quickfire 27 not out, ensured they reached the target with ease. Deol's fluent strokeplay, particularly square of the wicket, was a highlight, securing the crucial win for UPW.
