- Lando Norris wins for McLaren, George Russell 3rd
- Hamilton struggled in qualifying, failed to reach Q3

In the recent Hungarian Grand Prix, which took place on July 23rd, 2023, Lewis Hamilton endured a frustrating weekend. The Ferrari driver finished the race in 12th position, the same spot he started from, and subsequently apologized to his team over the radio, stating: "Really sorry about this weekend guys, for losing you points."
Despite the underwhelming result, Hamilton's position in the Drivers' Championship remains unchanged, as he still sits in 6th place with 109 points. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, who started the race from pole position, managed to finish 4th, helping Ferrari secure 12 valuable championship points.
The race was won by Lando Norris of McLaren, who crossed the finish line ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri. George Russell of Mercedes completed the podium in 3rd place. Other notable finishers included Fernando Alonso and Gabriel Bortoleto in 5th and 6th, respectively.
Prior to the race, Hamilton had struggled in qualifying, failing to reach Q3 and ending up 12th on the grid. In the post-qualifying interview, the British driver acknowledged his poor performance, saying, "I drove terribly. It is what it is. I'm just useless," and attributed the lack of pace to the car, not his own driving.
