2 Oct
Summary
- Haiti and Dominican Republic have perfect records.
- Both teams aim to lead Group A in CONCACAF Nations League.
- Haiti holds a slight goal difference advantage currently.
The CONCACAF Nations League is heating up as Haiti and the Dominican Republic, both boasting perfect two-win records, prepare to face off. The match, scheduled for Thursday in Santo Domingo, is a key fixture in Group A, where these two nations, along with Curaçao, are vying for the lead.
Haiti currently holds a narrow advantage due to a better goal difference. Their recent victories include a dramatic comeback against Trinidad & Tobago, where they scored twice in injury time, and a notable 2-0 upset over Costa Rica. However, Haiti's manager, David Badia, will be without Edison Azcona, who received a red card in their last match.
Meanwhile, the Dominican Republic, managed by Marcelo Neveleff, is looking to rebound. They have faced their own disciplinary issues, with Danco being sent off previously. Despite these challenges, the team is preparing to host Haiti, aiming to secure a crucial win on home soil and challenge for the group's summit.
