As Norway prepares to face Italy in a decisive World Cup qualifier on November 16, 2025, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has opened up about his upcoming opponent, Inter's rising talent Francesco Pio Esposito.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Haaland admitted he doesn't yet know much about the young Italian player. However, the Norwegian star still showed respect for Esposito's abilities, saying "when you play for Italy, you must have quality. And you need that same quality when you play for Inter, that's how it is."
Haaland, who has been in prolific form for both club and country, was also asked about the possibility of one day playing in Serie A himself. The 25-year-old responded, "I like this country. I've played some good games here. You never know what can happen in the future. I'm in a good place in my life right now, but you can never say never."
