The 28-year-old Enright had a promising rookie season, making his MLB debut on May 25 and going 2-1 with a 2.03 ERA in 27 relief appearances before being shut down in September due to right elbow/forearm inflammation.
In a separate development, the Guardians also announced that designated hitter David Fry, 29, will undergo surgery for a fractured nose and deviated septum. Fry was hit in the face by a pitch from the Detroit Tigers' Tarik Skubal on September 23, and the team had initially hoped he could avoid surgery.
