The Cleveland Guardians forced a decisive Game 5 in their AL Division Series against the Chicago White Sox with a thrilling 9-5 victory on Thursday night. Jose Ramirez was instrumental, hitting a home run and contributing three RBIs. The Guardians rallied significantly in the sixth inning, scoring six runs to take control of the game. This resilient performance marks Cleveland's ability to bounce back after dropping the initial two games at home.
The White Sox bullpen, a key strength throughout their surprising season, showed signs of fatigue. After a strong start from their Game 2 starter, Chicago's relievers struggled, allowing the Guardians to mount their comeback. Miguel Vargas homered late for Chicago, but it wasn't enough to prevent the series from returning to Cleveland for a winner-take-all Game 5 on Saturday night.
