18 Mar
Summary
- Scotty Pippen Jr. and Santi Aldama had successful surgeries on Tuesday.
- Both players will miss the remainder of the current season.
- The Grizzlies are currently on an eight-game losing streak.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Scotty Pippen Jr. and forward Santi Aldama will not play for the remainder of the current season. Both players underwent successful surgical procedures on Tuesday. Pippen Jr. had an operation on his right big toe, and Aldama received a procedure and injection to address discomfort in his right knee.
These successful operations mean both players will be sidelined for the rest of the season but are expected to be fully prepared for the upcoming season. The Grizzlies have struggled significantly, currently enduring an eight-game losing streak. As of March 18, 2026, the team's record stands at 23-44, placing them nine games behind the final Western Conference Play-In spot. Star player Ja Morant has also been sidelined for 25 consecutive games due to a left elbow injury, having only played 20 games this season.
Pippen Jr. had previously undergone a similar procedure in October and only recently made his season debut last month, averaging 11.4 points in 10 games. Aldama had been a more consistent contributor, averaging 14 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this season prior to his injury.
