Gophers Land Surprise LB Visitor This Weekend
10 Jun
Summary
- Tennessee LB Wyatt Wilber joins Gophers' 2027 visitor list.
- Wilber had 98 tackles and 7 TFLs in junior season.
- Minnesota's 2027 class is the nation's largest with 27 commits.

The University of Minnesota is set to host numerous class of 2027 prospects for its final summer splash event this weekend. Tennessee linebacker Wyatt Wilber has been added to the list of official visitors.
Wilber, standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 225 pounds, recorded 98 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and one sack during his junior season at Maryville High School. His recruitment has seen a significant increase, with all six of his Division I offers coming in since late April.
While Minnesota has not officially offered Wilber a scholarship yet, a positive visit could lead to an offer and potential commitment by the end of the weekend. The Gophers' 2027 recruiting class is already the nation's largest, boasting 27 verbal commitments and ranked 15th nationally.
Several other notable recruits, including Florida cornerback Jyden German and defensive linemen Lemani Fehoko and Dallas Wards, are also expected. However, official visit plans can change rapidly, and the list of uncommitted players on campus this weekend may be lighter than originally anticipated.
